Determining Ring Binder Capacity

• If you have a sample ring binder into which you know your materials will fit, open the binder and measure the inside dimensions of the round ring. For the "Angle D", measure the inside dimensions of the vertical post (see diagram). Do not measure the outside spine width.
  
• If you do not have a sample ring binder, simply use the chart below to determine which ring metal capacity you will need.
• Capacity (inside diameter)……holds approx.
  1/2" ring size……………..….….100 sheets
  3/4" ring size……….......……….150 sheets
  1" ring size…………………..….200 sheets
  1 1/2" ring size……………........300 sheets
  2" ring size…………………..….400 sheets
  2 1/2" ring size……..…….……..500 sheets
  3" ring size………………...……600 sheets
  ***Capacities are based on 20# bond paper***
